About the Role
As a Data Platform Leader, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance data infrastructure. You will work with cloud and data technologies to enable real-time analytics, data ingestion, and machine learning.
Your work will empower AI-powered automation in hospitals and healthcare facilities, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and delivering faster care.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming) for RTLS, IoT, and EHR data
- Implement real-time event processing with Kafka
- Optimize ETL/ELT for efficient data flow and storage
- Develop and maintain data lakes and warehouses for analytics and ML
- Build scalable data layers: bronze, silver, gold
- Collaborate with software and cloud teams to ensure platform reliability
- Integrate and secure EHR data from vendors like EPIC, Cerner, Meditech
- Make architectural decisions to improve scalability and system efficiency
- Ensure HIPAA compliance for data storage and transmission
- Optimize queries and data partitioning
- Implement RBAC, encryption, and anonymization for healthcare data
What You Bring
- Leadership experience with the ability to drive technical strategy and grow a high-performance team
- 5+ years as a Data Engineer, Data Platform Engineer, or similar
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark
- Experience with Kafka for streaming and batch processing
- Strong knowledge of AWS and its data tools
- Expertise in TimeScale
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
Bonus Skills
- Experience in healthcare or real-time operational systems
- Working knowledge of EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Meditech

$190,000 - $230,000 per year
