The Opportunity
We are seeking an ambitious and energetic Director of Engineering for a senior leadership role. As a key member of the founding team, you’ll help shape our product and culture from the ground up. You will be responsible for scaling our engineering team and infrastructure, driving innovation, and delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable technology solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead and grow the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.
- Mentor and support engineers, encouraging technical excellence and career growth.
- Manage project timelines, requirements, and priorities to ensure efficient delivery.
- Take ownership of technical projects and contribute hands-on when needed.
- Build full-stack solutions with a focus on frontend engineering and backend integration.
- Guide architectural decisions, make trade-offs between speed and scalability, and ensure effective resource allocation.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks like React.
- Experience with server-side rendering tools (e.g., Next.js).
- Strong UI/UX skills including responsive design and CSS frameworks.
- Ability to work across the stack and contribute to backend systems (Python).
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases and database architecture.
- Familiarity with Git, Agile development, and comfort with fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Startup experience or experience in small, fast-moving teams preferred.
