About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Member of Technical Staff, Robotics Engineer to join our cutting-edge Robotics and AI team.
You will play a strategic and technical leadership role in developing intelligent, autonomous systems across various platforms including AMRs, aerial drones, and humanoid robots.
This role demands strong embedded systems expertise, a deep grasp of neural networks and AI, and familiarity with Generative AI advancements.
Experience with Lidar-based SLAM and Visual SLAM is critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and development of software and hardware for AMRs, drones, and humanoid robots.
- Develop and deploy perception, localization, and navigation systems using Lidar-based and Visual SLAM techniques.
- Design real-time embedded systems interfacing with sensors, actuators, and compute platforms (e.g., ARM, DSPs, FPGAs).
- Integrate deep learning models for object detection, motion planning, behavior prediction, and scene understanding.
- Lead or contribute to R&D initiatives involving Generative AI in robotics.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and AI teams to deliver fully integrated systems.
- Evaluate and integrate diverse sensors (cameras, IMUs, LiDARs, ultrasonic) for 360° situational awareness.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute strategic insights to long-term robotics/AI vision.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- 10+ years of robotics systems design experience, focused on AMRs and/or drones.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++, Python, and ROS/ROS2.
- Proven expertise in both Lidar-based SLAM (e.g., Cartographer, LOAM) and Visual SLAM (e.g., ORB-SLAM, OpenVSLAM).
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems, RTOS, and board-level debugging.
- Solid understanding of deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and deployment on edge devices.
- Familiarity with Generative AI models (transformers, diffusion models) and their applications to intelligent systems.
- Humanoid robotics experience is a strong plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and simulation platforms (Gazebo, Isaac Sim).
- Knowledge of real-time computer vision, 3D mapping, and autonomous decision-making.
- Familiarity with safety standards, compliance, and fail-safe system design for autonomous systems.
- Contributions to open-source robotics or AI projects.
- Demonstrated innovation through patents or publications.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual Salary Range: $200,000 – $274,600
- Salary is dependent on multiple factors including skills, experience, and market conditions.
- Salary range is subject to future adjustments.
