About the Role
Our team is growing and we’re hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our engineering team and enable our next phase of growth. Canary's engineering team is fully remote!
You will work with the Platform Engineering team on automating testing processes to ensure seamless and effective software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Define automation strategies
- Design and develop new automation frameworks
- Maintain and improve existing automation test suites
- Monitor, analyze and report test automation results
- Build and own the automation infrastructure
- Able to manage infrastructure in a cloud environment (ie AWS) using Infrastructure as Code
- Collaborate with Developers, QA, and PMs to identify automation test cases that will ensure product quality
Qualifications
- Advanced degrees in computer science, software engineering
- 7+ years of experience in software test automation or software development
- Proficient in automation frameworks and CI test tools
- Experience and ability in developing test automation frameworks from scratch or familiarity with one or more existing automation frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- An attitude of a ‘test first’ approach rather than a ‘test at the end' approach
- Experience working in Unix/Linux and AWS environments
- Experience with automation projects in JavaScript and Python
